This years' Quantum tour is now fully booked, but here are some details one where the tour is going.

Tour to France 23rd May to June 4th 2018, the itinerary as follows. We gather on the Wednesday evening at Portsmouth ferry terminal. To take the Brittany Ferries overnight sailing to Caen, with two berth en suit cabin. Arriving in France at around 06.30 on the Thursday morning, after disembarking we will head south to La Rochelle, some 275 miles. With lunch and rest stops we should check in to the hotel Kyriad at approx’ 16.00 have a drink and a meal then sleep. Next morning we leave the hotel at about 09.30 for a steady drive further south, with further rest and fuel stops, getting into Oloron-Sainte-Marie at about 17.00 having done approx’ 260 miles. We check in to our hotel, the Hotel De France, eat drink and sleep! Saturday morning after breakfast we check out , 09.00 and get back on the road again. Heading south east into the Pyrenees to enjoy a day driving some spectacular mountain roads. Shortly after our lunch stop we will then head north 2 ½ hours drive approx’ 120 miles to arrive at the Barrusclet Farm House near Gondrin.

We will stay for 7 days self catering, facilities include heated pool, games room and all set in 40 acres of farmland. Touring locally, not every day and relaxing in the tranquillity of the southern France country side.

We have to leave on the following Saturday at 09.00 heading east for a while, arriving for a late lunch break (14.00) at the Campanile hotel and restaurant Millau. After lunch we will visit the Bridge visitors centre . Then back to the Campanile for the Night. In the morning we head out on the D809 south to join the A75 north and up onto the bridge to go north to Bourges approx’ 300 miles. We will arrive at the Brit Hotel Olympia in Bourges,around 16.00 for an evening meal and overnight accommodation. In the morning we have a leisurely breakfast before taking a steady drive to Caen ready to get the Monday evening ferry which departs at 23.00 and arrives in Portsmouth at 08.45.

That's a total trip of approximately 1400 miles. It will cost approximately £475. per person, based on two people sharing a car and accommodation. With camping at Barrusclet for single travellers and shared accommodation on the ferry and overnight hotels that would be around £485. Add to this your fuel and spending money and it certainly is not cheap, But what a road trip!
