Nottingham Classic

I've mentioned before that the Quantum is a “classic” and certainly on most of the classic car runs I now take part in there's always a number of kit car entries including in the past Quantums.
Any Quantum Owners Club member would be most welcome on Carlton Motor Club classic events

Nottingham Classic update report

Now, alongside Mick & Carol Hollis, assisting John Thornhill in organising the club's premier event – the Nottingham Classic.

Brief Update

The date this year is Sunday 30th July.
This year there is a new start venue of Kelham hall at Newark. Looking forward to VIP parking, prestigious signing on (well indoors anyway) and catering by their events team.
Mick Hollis has again been pouring over the maps to put together a superb route of under 120 miles. During the first half there will be time allowed for two optional stops before the route meanders to the half way halt at Woodhall Spa. This we last visited as a club 9 years ago and we again have secured exclusive use of the bowls club car park. This visit we will also have the benefit of use of the clubhouse (toilets etc.) and the bonus of tea/coffee (included in the entry fee).
The route back again follows picturesque lanes to get to the finish at Papplewick Pumping Station where hot food is laid on (not hog roast), together with drinks by Papplewick staff (again both included in entry fee).
If there's sufficient volunteers free underground tours will be offered (well worth it if you've not been before).
I've kept descriptions vague so as not to ruin in advance the day with too much detail.
Entry form and details on the Carlton & District Motor Club website.
At the time of writing (still over 2 months away) entries are approaching half full.

VINCE ORME

In addition for information the club's last event is on Sunday September 17 starting and finishing at East Bridgford Nottingham.
