Geoff and I have just had a great day out at the Action Day at Haynes Motor Museum. This annual event arranged by Andy Heaton is not to be missed and we have terrific fun each time we go.

The weather was not to bad with a mixture of sunshine and showers. The occasional damp lap’s just adding to the entertainment! It is a real shame that we will not be able to have an event at Haynes next year, the museum is being extensively modernised. The building works meaning the track will not be available. We will have to see if Andy can manage to find a substitute venue for 2012.

Stafford Kit Car Show ,or “The Genuine Kit Car Show” to quote the promoter, is next up. The date for this is the 17th/18th September, at Bingley Hall, Weston Road, Stafford, ST18 08D. The opening times are 10am – 4.30pm on both days. Prices are £10 for adults and children under 13 free, there is no mention of free entry for kit car drivers though.

For the more northerly members, the track day at Curborough is on the 15th of October. This like Haynes is free to all members, but you will need to book your place with Vince Orme. Your booking will require a refundable deposit, so contact Vince for further details.

The final show for this year will be the Kit & Sports Car Show at Westpoint Exhibition Centre, Exeter, EX5 1DJ. To be held on the 22nd & 23rd of October. Admission is £11 for adults, £2 for kids under 13 years old. But there is FREE entry for kit car drivers. Doors open 10am – 5pm.

Hope to see a few of you there.
